Long before I met my husband Matt, I worked for a number of Animal agencies that hired animals and their handlers for film work. The GSD's did a huge amount of work, appearing in the Ruth Rendel series, The film Buster, All Creatures Great and Small, Bread (live) and many, many more. Schaefer appeared at The Old Vick Theatre, in A Flea In Her Ear, with Jim Broadbent, Roger Lloyd Pack and a number of other very well known actors. He gained an award for the Best Live Performing Animal. The Show ran for Four Months and was a lot of fun. For a while we ran our own Animal Agency, but as we were also running Security Jobs, a by that time I was married and Matt spent a lot of time abroad, we decided it was easier to work for other Agencies, which we have continued to do. Chase, the Doberman is very experienced, and has a lot of credits now Although his main job is as an Explosives Search Dog, he's quite happy to spend the day on set, and he especially loves location and overnight jobs, which mean staying in Hotels (He has to search the room first though).
