Ana Richardson bred Neo, and he came to me after being fostered by Marnix Van Den Steen in Belgium.

He passed all the available DNA tests, and turned into the most beautiful dog anyone could wish for.

Unfortunately, he has narrow angled glaucoma, something I didn’t find out until he was almost five years old, and had produced a lot of puppies. As soon as I found out that he produced this devastating defect he was removed from stud. Had I known he’d already produced a puppy with glaucoma in 2006 in Europe, I could have removed him from the gene pool much earlier, and many puppies and their owners would not have had the heartbreak of breeding dogs which have glaucoma some of which have already gone blind.

Neo himself will eventually go blind, and there is no long term treatment for this disease.

He’s still the wonderful dog he has always been, and I will treasure every day I have left with him
